  • Mātauranga Māori

The landscape of legislation is changing. There's a real shift in our community to embrace and identify with Mātauranga Māori. We will investigate what co-governance and treaty based governance looks like for Aotearoa, as we acknowledge that Mātauranga Māori needs to be an integral part planning conversations. We will tackle head on, what a successful Mātauranga Māori approach requires, in light of the challenges we face and the insights we have. What does treaty based governance look like, what does giving effect to the treaty look like in a planning environment, and is our approach to co-governance mature enough to give effect to the treaty?
